Service Description

Body Mechanix Preseason Strength Program helps hockey players enter the season stronger, faster, and ready to compete. This is not a random workout or an exhausting conditioning session. It is a focused hockey-specific program designed to build the strength, power, mobility, and durability players need for a demanding season. Each session begins with mobility and movement preparation to help athletes move efficiently on and off the ice. Hockey places major demands on the hips, ankles, shoulders, and core, so we use purposeful warm-ups and drills to improve balance, control, and movement quality. Athletes build usable strength through single-leg lower-body training, upper-body pushing and pulling, and total-body movements that carry over to skating, stopping, accelerating, changing direction, and competing through contact. The goal is not simply to lift heavier weights—it is to help players become more powerful, stable, and confident on the ice. We also use low-volume jumps, throws, and rotational power exercises to build explosiveness without overloading athletes. Players work on quick feet, short accelerations, lateral movement, and reaction skills that support better first steps and body control during the game. Durability is a key part of the program. Targeted training for the groin, hamstrings, calves, shoulders, and trunk helps athletes build a stronger foundation for the repeated demands of skating, shooting, practices, and games. While no program can prevent every injury, smart strength training helps players become more resilient and better prepared for the season. Parents can feel confident that Body Mechanix prioritizes quality coaching and purposeful training. We do not use exhaustive conditioning to make athletes tired. Hockey players already receive plenty of conditioning through skating, practices, and games. Our preseason program helps them show up to those sessions prepared—not worn down. Every athlete is coached in a positive, structured environment. Exercises are adjusted to the player’s age, experience, and ability, making this a great fit for both newer and experienced hockey players. Sessions are efficient, family-friendly, and end with a firm 6:30 p.m. stop. Give your player the foundation to skate stronger, move faster, compete harder, and stay more resilient this season.
