Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

Body Mechanix’s founder and head performance coach holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, earned with honors from Concordia University, and continually expands his expertise through advanced study in sport biomechanics and evidence-based training. Although currently pursuing Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credentials, he already applies a rigorous, research-driven methodology to every client interaction.

With more than a decade of experience, he designs results-oriented programs for athletes in every major sport and partners with entire sport associations to deliver cohesive, long-term development strategies. His command of biomechanics refines movement efficiency, reduces injury risk, and unlocks peak performance across diverse athletic populations.

His services range from one-on-one coaching for youth beginners, collegiate competitors, and active adults to specialized support that bridges the gap between physical-therapy discharge and full return to sport when needed.

By integrating data-guided assessments—velocity tracking, jump profiling, and force-production testing—with cutting-edge technology, he crafts individualized programs that deliver measurable, sustainable progress. Through this holistic, science-backed approach, he nurtures competitive resilience and lifelong athletic potential for everyone who steps into Body Mechanix.

Steve Sabatino is a former Division I and professional pitcher who brings high-level experience, technical skill, and a passion for development to every lesson. A standout two-way player at Lockport Township High School, Steve was drafted by the Chicago White Sox out of high school, but chose to play at Notre Dame, where he earned a spot in the weekend rotation as a sophomore.

After recovering from Tommy John surgery, he returned to post a 0.73 ERA in Big East Conference play, holding hitters to a .163 average as one of the Irish's most trusted bullpen arms.  Steve was later drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals, pitching four seasons in the minor leagues across multiple levels.

Over his professional career, he compiled a 10–5 record, 3.24 ERA, 141 strikeouts, and a 1.30 WHIP across 136 innings. In 2014, he posted a 1.79 ERA with 48 strikeouts in 45.1 innings, including a Peoria Chiefs franchise record, 35 consecutive scoreless innings. He also contributed to a combined no-hitter and threw an immaculate inning.

As a coach, Steve combines elite-level knowledge with a clear, hands-on teaching style. He works with both pitchers and hitters, using his background as a former two-way recruit and his experience under pressure to help athletes build mechanics that last and mindsets that compete.
